Nokia World is coming to Barcelona so we anticipated to invite some friends from Finland to join us for our next MobileMonday Barcelona on Mobile Social Media on December 1. The event will be held at the Forum of ESADE Business School (same venue as the Mobile 2.0 Europe event).
Mobile Social Media has known a tremendous growth in 2008. Über social media platform Facebook recently announced that their mobile site m.facebook.com, jumped from 5 million to 15 million this year. The most recent change made to the site, allowing comments to be posted on status messages from your phone, resulted in more than 1 million mobile posts in the first 24 hours.
For this unique event we invited the following speakers:
Matt Mizenko, Head of Ovi.com, Product Management with Nokia.
Previously Matt was Senior Product Manager for the Ovi Technology Platform. Prior to joining Nokia, Matt served as Chief Wireless Architect with Fry, Inc. in New York where he headed mobile, thin-client and embedded systems development for clients including NYMEX, Godiva and The Spiegel Group. In his free time, Matt is an active photographer, cyclist and wine enthusiast.
Monday is a great day, but there’s also Friday, Mini Friday. The mobile version of Habbo Hotel has stayed rather under the radar till now. If you want to know more about the next exciting BIG THING in mobile, Sulake, the company behind Habbo Hotel, will make a special announcement at this MobileMonday Barcelona.
Peter Vesterbacka, Founder of ConnectedDay.
Peter will be talking about how to apply mobile technology for people working with the most important asset of all, our children. ConnectedDay is providing a set of services that enable a richer parent-child dialog and also assists in building a true partnership between daycare professionals and parents. Peter is also known as the founder of MobileMonday and a few other things.
Mobile Blogger Relations
And last but not least, and with a big thank you to Nokia, we’ll have a panel with some of the top bloggers on mobile technology from across the globe to talk about what it means to be included in outreach from a major player in the mobile world. Don’t miss this chance to see and meet some of these bloggers IRL.
